Exams are coming, exams are coming, Threeth by Judaic, Foureth by General!

As the great Paul Revere once cried: "The British are coming, the British are coming, Oneth by land and twoeth by sea", so to must we realize that exams are coming. After a hefty break students have once again opened the books and are just beginning there exam preparations. Here are 10 tips, the only ones I have from four years of Or Chaim exam periods, to help you study and do well come the exam.

1. The most important classes of the year are the ones a week before the exam. This is when teachers review everything that is on the exam so only listen to them now and forget what they have said the rest of the semester because the information they are reviewing will be the information that is fresh in there mind, thus on the exam.
2. Don't stay up late watching TV or playing on Facebook. This will only result in you being over tired the next day, resulting in you not listening during review.
3. Focus more on exam classes then regular classes.
4. Don't be in grade 9. Grade 9's always have the most exams so try to avoid being in that grade.
5. Play basketball or other sports during lunch to relieve you of stress and get you some physical activity.
6. Before you go to bed every night take a long hot shower. The shower will clear your mind and allow you to process the information you reviewed and store it for later.
7. Come to school and daven for your friends to do well on there exams. Rabbi Heshy Clienman, author of Praying With Fire told a story where two ladies daven for eachother and they both received blessings. So to, if you daven for your friend to do well on his exam, and he davens for you, both of you will do well and be prosperous in all your high school endeavours (provided you study of course).
8. Come the day of the exam make sure you fill up on breakfast. Or Chaim breakfast might not be the best but they do the trick.
9. Go to the bathroom before the exam because you never know who is proctoring and if they will let you leave.
10. Speak to Jeff Kay on how to earn marks even for writing the wrong answer. Grade grubbing is nothing to be ashamed of. If you can and you know you will get extra marks for debating a problem with a  teacher, by all means you get up there and you grub until you can't grub no more.

Good Luck on Exams!!!
